Medical-Legal & Occupational Evaluations
Ibemed provides specialized psychological evaluations for workers’ compensation, personal injury, and occupational matters. These evaluations are conducted in accordance with applicable clinical and medical-legal standards and are designed to provide objective, well-supported opinions regarding diagnosis, causation, symptom severity, functional impact, treatment needs, work capacity, prognosis, impairment, apportionment, and future care, as relevant to the referral.
Evaluation services may include Workers’ Compensation Psychological Evaluations, Work-Related Stress Evaluations, Arising Out of Employment/Course of Employment (AOE/COE) Evaluations, Qualified Medical Evaluations (QME), Agreed Medical Evaluations (AME), Fitness for Duty Evaluations, and Personal Injury Psychological Evaluations.
Depending on the referral question, the assessment may consider the individual’s clinical history, reported workplace stressors or traumatic events, current psychological functioning, relevant medical and occupational records, job demands, and other available information. In workers’ compensation matters, evaluations may address whether a psychological condition or claimed injury is related to employment and may include opinions regarding industrial causation, permanent impairment, apportionment, work restrictions, treatment needs, and future medical care.
Fitness for Duty evaluations focus on whether an employee is psychologically able to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of their position, while personal injury evaluations assess emotional or psychological symptoms associated with an accident, traumatic event, or other alleged injury.
Our goal is to provide clear, clinically rigorous, and objective findings that address the specific referral question and support informed medical-legal, occupational, and treatment-related decision-making.
