Neurocognitive and Functional Evaluations

Ibemed provides comprehensive neurocognitive and functional evaluations for individuals experiencing concerns related to cognitive functioning, daily performance, and independence. Assessments may examine attention, concentration, memory, processing speed, executive functioning, language, problem-solving, and other cognitive abilities, as well as the extent to which cognitive or psychological difficulties affect every day functioning.

These evaluations may be appropriate for individuals who have experienced a traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, neurological condition, medical illness, or other event associated with changes in cognitive or functional abilities. Functional assessment may also address the individual’s ability to manage activities of daily living, occupational demands, organization, decision-making, and other real-world tasks relevant to the referral question.

The evaluation is designed to identify cognitive strengths and weaknesses, clarify the nature and extent of reported difficulties, assess their functional impact, and support diagnostic clarification, treatment planning, rehabilitation recommendations, and other clinically appropriate interventions.

Ibemed offers neurocognitive and functional assessment services in both English and Spanish. Evaluations are selected and administered with consideration for the patient’s language background, cultural context, clinical presentation, referral question, and the availability of appropriate standardized assessment measures.
